MedExperts, LLC, one of the nations largest and most widely used medical vendors, has entered an agreement to acquire the medical division of the Mentis Group, Inc., a premier, nationwide medical vendor and Altapoint President’s Club VAR. In early June, MedExperts began negotiations to acquire the medical division of the Texas-based Mentis Group, and on June 12th, those negotiations came to fruition as the two companies came to terms and inked a deal to begin the acquisition. The acquisition involves clients from coast to coast and the transition of clients is currently under way. Completion of the project is expected to be achieved by no later than June 30, 2008. As part of the agreement, Larry Shivers, Mentis Group - Vice President, Medical Division, will join the MedExperts team as VP of Western Regional Sales. The arrangement evolved from a long, amicable relationship between the two companies despite the entities offering, what some would view, as competing products.
